The Reality of Building LoveHuddle: Sleepless Nights, Part-Time Work, and Why I'm Doing It Anyway
21 May 2026 · Solo Founder Sleepless Nights, Why I Keep Going

The late nights, the endless decisions, the legal groundwork, the wireframes, the IP filings, the investor conversations, all of it alone, with no one to hand it off to. And all of it while working part time, because building something I truly believe in matters more than short-term comfort.
There have been moments I've wanted to walk away. Real moments. Days where the walls kept coming and the weight of it felt like too much for one person to carry. But drive, determination, and genuine belief in what LoveHuddle is becoming keeps pulling me forward.
Why the UK Makes It Harder.
Building a consumer tech platform in the UK comes with its own particular weight. The funding landscape is more cautious than in the US, investors want traction before they back you, but you need investment to build the traction in the first place. It's a circle that's hard to break.
And yet the UK is exactly where LoveHuddle launches first. UK users are more guarded, more sceptical, more private. They don't want to be sold to. They want something considered, safe, and real. That's not a barrier, that's the brief.
When It Gets Too Much, Step Outside.
Today was one of those heavy days. So I did what I've learned to do, I got out.
There's something about walking a path with no notifications and no next task, just open landscape, that cuts through the noise in a way nothing else does.Even the sheep looked unbothered. I took note.
Some days you need to stand in front of something bigger than your to-do list and remember you're a person, not just a founder. I came back clearer than I left.
The Grind Has a Point
The problem LoveHuddle is solving is real. Swipe fatigue is real. The demand for something calmer, safer, and more human is real. Every hard day is one day closer to putting something genuinely different in front of people who need it.
LoveHuddle isn't being built quickly. It's being built properly. And in a market that rewards authenticity over noise, that's the only way worth doing it.
